MN Bird Guide- Judd Brink
Guiding Dates: July 8-10 2014
Location: Brainerd Lakes Area
"Brainerd, Minnesota was a lovely setting for bird watching. Judd Brink was my bird watching guide and his knowledge of loons and many other birds made my visit highly enjoyable. My stay at the Whiteley Creek Bed and Breakfast also contributed to my pleasure of being in Minnesota".

The birding trip with you was truly a highlight of our stay at Ruttgers for me.
I do a lot of birding with leaders (although always in large groups) so I can easily say that this was one of the best birding trips I have taken. The Sedge Wren was really exciting even if we didn't get to see the little guy, and I do feel that we got close to the Clay-colored Sparrow, even if he didn't actually show himself.
But it was wonderful to see those places and hear about the birds that are there.
So I'll definitely write something and hope to see you again next year if not before!
All the best,

We had a great time birding with Judd. He is a competent and patient guide who, in short time, felt like a long-time friend. Our time with Judd in Aitkin County and the Sax Zim Bog was enlightening, invigorating, and fun, and the birding exceeded our lofty expectations.
Our group included both beginning and international birders. Judd was comfortable working with all of us. He arranged our days to provide the best opportunity to see the most birds while also paying close attention to our individual wishes. Judd has sound knowledge of nature. He approached the identification of birds with a refreshingly open mind and made us feel very much a part of the process by always including us in the discussion.
He went beyond his obligations as guide by making overnight accommodation reservations and restaurant suggestions for us and always was in the ready to help carry suitcases and more. Without a doubt we will hire him again when we look for a birding guide in northern Minnesota.

My husband and I were visiting Minneapolis in October for a conference and wanted to experience some Minnesota birding while we were there. Not having birded in Minnesota before, we contacted Judd Brink asking him to guide us for a day. What a delight it was to spend the day with him. Judd is professional, knowledgeable and personable. He took us to areas northeast of Minneapolis we would have never been able to find on our own and rewarded us with viewing many bird species; Sharp-tailed Grouse, Northern Shrike, Gray Jay, and Rusty Blackbird were especially nice. We would highly recommend Judd to anyone wanting to see Minnesota birds!
